With a surface 115,000 hectares, Lake Mälaren is the third largest lake in Sweden, located in the west of Stockholm with its eastern part connected with the Baltic Sea.

Famous from the beginning for the pike-perch fishing, Lake Mälaren has enjoyed for the past several years a very high growth of its pike population.

The local fishermen being mainly interested by the perch and pike-perch, the idea of offering this kind of pike fishing to the lovers of this predator fish was developed and concretized with the opening of the « Mälaren Fishing Camp ».
The camp is ideally located nearby the water in a bay with plenty of reed marshes, water lilies, rocky islands and deep drop offs , and we can really say that here, fishing starts as soon as the boat leaves from the dock.

The area we are focused on features average depths of 1 to 3 meters with endless potential spots on several thousands of hectares of water .
The drop offs close the navigation channels  provides refuges to big predators and in addition to the  pike, you can find very large volumes of pike-perch, plus  perch , asp , sea or lake trout and catfish (here a protected species ; in fact, the Lake was named because  “Mal “ in Swedish means catfish).

Ideally, the best fishing method is to use jerk baits in the shallows , swim baits, big soft baits as “bulldhags” or shads and crank baits lures in the deepest spots , big spoons and for exciting surface fishing, lures as stick baits, spinner baits, artificial shads and  frogs in the weed  from end of may  up to beginning  of autumn ; but you can also fish with live or dead bait with preferably circle hook setting (available at the camp)
Fly fishing is a must for those who are seeking emotions , and it is available to all the predator fishes from pike to perch, asp or even pike perch .
Vertical fishing as also his fans and lots of pike perches and perch can be caught that way.
During your stay you will be assisted by an English, French, Spanish -speaking team and will have access to a 24 hours/day hot line. If you are interested, we can arrange a guided trip (2 fishermen maximum at a time) and we also sell lures and small accessories (braid, leaders etc.) and loan rods and reels with braid, nets and fishing overalls. We also rent for a cheap fee electric engines .

Your boats are Quintrex Eplorer aluminium equipped with 15 HP 4-stroke Honda motors and include electrical starter, fish finder , detailed charts and the required safety equipment.
We accommodate the anglers in double and  single rooms with breakfast but also for larger groups we offer two lake houses for 4 to 8 anglers and special guided weeks are run during the season assisted all the week by a professional fishing guide.
