Lake Langhalsen is one of the best lakes in terms of fish density in the Sörmland region of Sweden.
Its waters offer a good shelter to numerous populations of  pike perch and big pikes, and large quantities of perches as well , salmon and sea trout used to run up to spawn in the small rivers that flow into the lake.

A fish ladder program is underway and will soon allow these wonderful fishes to move even more upstream.

The main part of the lake is private and only the landowners are allowed to fish but we have been able to obtain exclusive fishing rights on 450 hectares of water.
 
For the sake of ethics, all the pikes and pike perches will have to be released and the capture of only a dozen of perches will be allowed (and controlled), so that you can enjoy the product of your fishing.

Ideally, the best fishing method is to use jerk baits in the shallows , swim baits, big soft baits as “bulldhawgs” or shads and crank baits lures in the deepest spots , big spoons and for exciting surface fishing, lures as stick baits, spinner baits, artificial frogs in the weed beds and reeds from May and beginning of  autumn ; but you can also fish with live or dead bait with preferably circle hook setting (available at the camp).

Fly fishing is also very rewarding on pikes, perches and even pike perches when they stand in mid water.

There are a lot of big pike perches well over 80 cm that can be caught on vertical fishing , dead bait wobbling or trolling from mid may to end of October.

During your stay you will be assisted by a English, Spanish and French-speaking team and will have an access to a 24 hours/day hot line. If you are interested, we can arrange a guided trip (2 fishermen maximum at a time) and we also sell lures and small accessories (braids, leaders etc.) and we loan  high quality wet suits and landing nets, fishing rods and fishing reels.

Your 4m25 Sandström boats are equipped with 9.8 HP 4-stroke Tohatsu motors and include depth sounders and the required safety equipment (life jackets, anchors, oars).

Electric engines are available for hire.
You will stay in charming cottages  located right on the bank of the lake and you will have your private dock just outside of your accommodation.
The marvellous towns of Nyköping (30 min.) and Stockholm (1 hour) offers fantastic opportunities to go to the restaurant, do shopping and walk in the old districts. The golfers and horse riders will be highly satisfied and you will be surrounded by wild life  (moose, fallow-deer, red deer, roe-deer, wild sheep, wild boar, goose, crane, osprey etc.).
